Wird (Dhikr Cockpit)
Last updated: 21 July 2026
Wird ("the app") is designed to respect your privacy. It has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no developer-operated server. The app makes no network requests at all — it works entirely offline. The developer does not collect, store, or receive any data.
What the app does with your data
Location. With your permission, the app uses your device location for one thing only, performed entirely on your device: calculating your local prayer times, so that the morning and evening dhikr windows (Fajr → sunrise, Asr → Maghrib) match your actual day. Your coordinates never leave your device — there is no server to send them to, and the app performs no geocoding or lookups of any kind. If you deny location, the app remains fully usable with approximate default windows.
Reminders. The optional daily reminder uses local notifications, scheduled on your device by the operating system. There is no push-notification service and no remote server involved.
Your wird and record (the practices you select, custom dhikr you add, your daily counts and completion record, your language choice) are stored only on your device. They are not transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes this data.
What the app does NOT do
- It does not create an account or ask you to sign in.
- It does not connect to the internet — no requests, no telemetry, nothing.
- It does not contain ads or any third-party advertising/analytics SDKs.
- It does not track you across apps or websites.
- It does not sell or share any data — it has none to sell.
Permissions
- Location (When In Use): on-device calculation of the prayer-based dhikr windows.
- Notifications: the optional quiet daily reminder.
You can deny or revoke both in iOS Settings at any time; the app remains fully usable.
Children
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
